Iron Tide Command
Iron Tide Command scratches a very specific itch — planning three moves ahead while your fleet slowly steams into position. You manage resources, build ships with different roles, and push across a hex map trying to secure trade routes before the AI does. The pacing is slow in the best way; this is a game for people who like to think.
The interface took me a session to warm up to, but once it clicked, the depth showed itself. Each ship class has real trade-offs, and there's a satisfying moment when a formation you set up an hour ago finally pays off. The AI isn't brilliant but it's competent enough to punish lazy play.
It's not the flashiest thing on the store, and the tutorial could be clearer. Stick with it, though, and there's a smart, satisfying strategy game underneath.
